Alexandra Turkmen was born in America but grew up in Sofia. She studied fashion design at the Marangoni Fashion Institute in Milan and later was accepted into NATFA (National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts) in the class of Stefan Danailov. Shortly after, she moved to New York, where she lived for 7 years and worked for the renowned designer Anne Bowen. Alexandra now has her fashion line for kimonos called Les Mémoires by AT.
